Sarah Palin can dish it out as good as she gets it. The Alaskan Governor cameod on “Saturday Night Live” and played along as Tina Fey once again impersonated Palin to an exact science.

Palin stood next to Executive Producer Lorne Michaels Saturday as the two watched Fey stage a mock news conference. Palin was disappointed Michaels wouldn’t let her impersonate Fey on her show, “30 Rock,” Michaels said no one watched the program anyway!

Adding insult to injury Sarah Palin stood and smiled while actor Alec Baldwin confused Palin for Fey and said Michaels he shouldn’t allow Fey to demean herself by impersonating the governor.

Palin went on to deliver the show’s signature starting line, “Live from New York, it’s `Saturday Night.’”

You’re no atty or else you would have heard of fair use. If I view the same clip on cbs, fox, nbc, cnn… as they have done they’re all getting sued right.
Youtube just takes down all TV shows and movies for fear you’re really trying to post the entire thing. Which does not fall under fair use.
I’m a developer for a major network and have heard more on this subject than i’d like to.

Awesome! It is great to see someone, such as Palin, come on SNL and laugh and join in on the paradies! More power to her! Barack/Biden, your turn! As for the “attorney” Varsh, who posted a dumbass comment here, get a life, it’s comedy for God’s sake! eh! ass

    Hi Lanie
Thankyou for the SNL vid of Palin/Fey. Another funny one!
Being an Alaskan ex-pate, I’m particularly interested in SNL’s Palin skits (20+ years up there, & there when she got elected Gov [which itself was really unbelievable to many Alaskans at the time]). I couldn’t help but think, when Palin yelled “Live from New York! It’s SNL!” that lots of her hometown Wasilla residents were pinching themselves in disbelief, and those in little Dillinngham, AK, where she made a stop this past summer 2008 & to which I really wanted to go to from Togiak, where I was working.
Alaska, particularly Anchorage is just BOOMING, BIG time in terms of huge commercial construction projects & government infrastructure building/rebuilding. But to me, big city-types of activities don’t “belong” up there. Such a mentality corrupts & destroys the kindliness & helpfulness among its citizens that I remember from even just 6-7 years ago. Last summer, 2007, Anchorage had *10* skycranes building huge buildings in Anchorage proper, all at the same time. 10 is probably the most I or any other Alaskan has ever seen in Anchorage. But as some of us know, *corporations* call the shots & do the planning & make things happen in a particular way in *this* country. Not “the government,” & not “the will of the people” (which used to be one & the same…. anybody remember that? But to be fair, nobody can blame George W & Co. on spending more of our money –*LOTS* more– than the IRS gave him to spend because we individuals ourselves put our own selves into debt personally. The microcosm = the macrocosm & vice-versa. The unfortunate blindsight mentality on GWB & Co.’s part was, was that they had to put America into debt in order to be free.
    HUH???
We’re in DEBT NOW! *THAT* is the *OPPOSITE* of being free!!!
knockknockknock…. any’you GOP zealots see that? Or more succintly put, have the *courage* to see that?
    ok i’m done…

But Lanie…. you indeed are a smart woman. In your desire to be of service by posting this vid, this site of yours will be getting probably many several hundreds of thousands of hits that YouTube would otherwise have gotten.
YouTube probably killed the vids because of the potential probs that might come from that very thing — they didn’t want to risk crashing their servers from the hundreds of thousands of hits from those who weren’t a part of SNL’s 14-year record-breaking TV audience.
YouTube will probably release the vids for viewing again maybe a couple weeks down the road after the excitement from Palin’s SNL visit has gone down.

And lastly, this is to the 10/19 12:22pm poster Steven Anderson:
    You should be on SNL.
You could yell “Live from New York! It’s PROUD REPUBLICAN ATTORNEY GUY!!”
And you could do a skit that would lamblast all those creepy liberals.
    LOL!!
    See? Funny already…..

    Idaho Guy,
Thanks for the excellent and kind reply. Yes indeed I have had in excess of a 1,000,000 hits and it hasn’t crashed my server yet. It’s just a plain ol’ 3 Gig Dual Xeon. YT has 1000 times my server equipment.

The attorney guy is so far off the mark, NBC gave me the embed codes before they made them public.

You would not believe the hate mail and outright threats I have received from the McCain supporters. Read my Post “SNL Palin Videos: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished !”

I am somehow “evil” because I support Obama.

    Hello, Lanie -

    1,000,000 hits!!
    WOW!
Man, you certainly made the right choice when you overwrote your vid with your own inet address!

    And RE:
    >> I am somehow “evil” because I support Obama.
Well, so is General Colin Powell, Lanie.
    His BIO: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Powell
So you & I (by virtue of my agreement with his assessments of his friend John McCain) & others are in *very* good company.

I, personally, also support Obama, but frankly, by default.
I just do not think that Palin is ready to take on international affairs and McCain, though very experienced in politics, is just too rageful at times, which could cause other leaders to regard American policymakers as closet irrationalists. As the VP, Palin would be doing the majority of international travel & thus affecting U.S. policy with other country’s leaders, who have no doubt had *enough* of Republican, “play along or run along” imperialistic-perceived blabla.
Palin has already demonstrated that she is indeed a “pit bull” type at times, but those types –ESPECIALLY a *woman* “pit bull talker”– MUST have restraint & wisdom & cultural compassion & understandings before those types go shooting their mouths off, whether in appropriate reaction or not. I do not have anything against woman “pit bull talkers” at all, but in light of the fact that she very often could be dealing with essentially misogynistic Middle Eastern politicians, “Palin the pit bull talker” could be the cause of some VERY nasty repurcussions. I mean, America has to get over the Bush years of self-righteousness which caused virtually the entire world, most notable those admittedly crazy-run countries, to pretty much hate us as a nation, some unequivocally so.

Actually, IMO, General Powell is not one of those dime-a-dozen narrow-minded, self-righteous, bigotry-inclined [in secret, of course], economics-challenged [except for how to line their own pockets under the guise of how their money-sucking actions benefit "the greater good," & how to use OPM to their own benefit, in the end {gotta hand it to those types -- they ARE good at those things, particularly the former!}].
General Powell is one of those **RARE** Republicans who has the *GUTS* to put aside their mindblinders for a moment and actually SEE the truth from a truly objective perspective; i.e., AS IT IS.

But all in all, it’s going to be a very interesting, & *very very rough* next 2-3 years for the world’s people, particularly for American people (as I’ve been adding into personal conversations about politics/etc. over the past several years). It ain’t gonna be pretty, unfortunately. But Revelations gave us that news. Just not exactly the precise scenarios…..

And lastly, RE: the Proud Republican Attorney guy, he’s not just a “Type A,” he’s a “Type AAA!” Which means that he & other samesuch venomous & vitriolic people will burn out by heart attack. Heart attack because their hearts are sick, firstly in a spiritual/emotional way and then by consequence, in a physical way. But ’til then, meanwhile, we just gotta put up with ‘em.
My most favorite quote of all time came from Joe Walsh of The James Gang & The Eagles:
“Never argue with a crazy mind.”
That includes, of course, mind self-blinding American political-oriented zealots, on both sides of the fence.

    One last thing:
We as a nation depend upon the 2-party system to keep out other political parties. We depend upon arguements between 2 opposing groups. When that dynamic is held sacred, then no other parties or political leanings can make headway into our political machines.
And it worked, with results of those arguments being a medium, a mix.
But such a dynamic required courtesy, restraint, & decency.
But unfortunately, this dynamic is a past tense paradigm in this country….. Just look at the news…. A lone innocent plumber, for example, has a very big personal bulls-eye on him now. Talk & cable news show hosts ramble on in ever-effusive neck-vein popping dogmatic yakking. And “hanging chad” is now joked about in rockabilly songs.

We the sane gotta literally stick together, not just “say so.”
Because unfortunately, (and I wish I didn’t have to say this, but…) the lunatic fringe is now the status quo.

    oki’mdonenow….

Good for you to get these vids on your site. It’s funny but it really does show the real Mc Cain and Pallin as they really are.I find it hard to believe that the American people can’t see through Mc Cain and Palin. The whole world will have more respect for America if they elect Obama. It will show everyone on the planet that the Americans are intelegent. It seems like the Mc Cain followers are the aggressive types and love the thought of taking on the world instead of trying to have some type of compliance with other countries.Like you said you have recieved threats for airing these videos but anyone with half a brain would realise you didn’t make them yourself so why threaten you.I always laugh when I hear Mc Cain say MY FRIENDS (makes me puke)and also when he says my friends I have been tested–I guess he just never explained the only thing he has been tested for is at a cardiac unit and his heart beat away from the presidency is scary more than Mc Cain–I am not an American but I can say the rest of the world is hopeing Obama wins so there is a chance of peace in the world .It’s a lot more possible with him than his apponent.Do the right thing America VOTE OBAMA
